Bones 4x01 and 4x02

Well, basically the obligatory Americans in London story, including the driving jokes, difference between English and American English, aristocracy...It could be summed up as been there, done that. Well, the show's writing has never been exactly great and original and I think that the whole thing stands on the confortation of "average Joe" Booth and Bones' weirdness.

The little car joke was incredibly unfunny, btw.

The plus of Booth and Bones going to London is Indira Varma (Suzie in "Torchwood") as Inspector Cate "Pritch" Pritchard.

Well, she flirted a bit with Booth and knighted him with cutlery and a toy store medal. Plus she's kind of cute in the suit.







However, Angela and Hodge break my heart and the psychiatrist boy still remains the little geek from "Geeks and Freaks" and I somehow don't like him since the moment after the season finale when I realized he's there to replace Zach. And weirdly enough, he never really grow head big enough for those teeth. I don't like Camilla either. I think that if I really cared about the show, she could make it to Gwen's or Camoron's level in my mind.

I made this little advert for Ziina's([livejournal.com profile] ziina) upcoming presentation called "Torchwood, or, Slash, Zombies and Llamas" which is her seasons 1 and 2 continuation of her previous season 1 presentation "Torchwood, or, Slash, Tractor and Llamas".




*llama - in Czech "lama" - the similarity of the word with English "lame" has led among the young Czech to the use of "llama" as a name for someone incompetent - for example if you feel totally incapable of doing something, you say "I'm such a llama."

House 4x12 and Torchwood 2x04

Torchwood... well, sorry for not uploading it this time, flist, but I was kind of asleep by the time the links came out... I hope you got it elsewhere... if not, buzz me. Anyway, it was a let-down. It was bad. Not Cyberwoman or Countrycide kind of bad, but pretty much season 1 bad. I blame it on Gwen. Way too much of that selfish bitch. At times, I had a feeling that I am watching a Mexican telenovela, especially when they yelled loud and fast enough for me to stop understand. The positive highlight of this episode was Ianto. I have always liked Ianto, unless he got too emo, but he really didn't get a much of screen-time in season 1. Now, he is like the best character on the show. Go, action!Ianto, go ;)


House 4x12... House made me happy. Like I-am-here-laughing-crying-and-squeeing-with-fangirlish-glee happy. I do not think that any show made me this happy, ever. Well, the Doctor makes me feel like that in times, but not for this long... because the Ten/Jack was a big disappointment too... Well, it is time for screencaps and comments...

Author's note: Written right after the Torchwood season one, but I didn't have the guts to post it until now. Spoilers for Doctor Who up to 'Doomsday' and Torchwood up to 'End of Days'.

( Jack could not believe the fact he was standing back inside the TARDIS again. He felt as if it was ages since the moment he was left on the Game Station and perhaps it has been ages, he lost track of the time while he waited for this moment. Trouble was that with time travelling, you could never know what to expect. The Doctor was leaning against the TARDIS control. He looked the very same as on the CCTV recording from Torchwood Tower, down to the white trainers. For a second, Jack wondered how long could it be since then for the Doctor. However, for Jack it was difficult to keep track of his own timeline, especially when hyper-vodka was involved, yet alone the Doctor’s. )

As I was writing my Literary Studies notes. We were working with Angela Carter's 'The Company of Wolves.' Halfway through the story, following sentence started to appear among the notes.

7th paragraph - blah blah blah => first note of the werewolf (big hairy scary werewolf, huh. Don't worry, the Doctor would deal with it)
...
Wedding night story - blah blah 'not too shy to piss into a pot' - not afraid to have sex (Harkness is never too shy...by this time, he would have shagged the werewolf)
stark naked man in the forrest = werewolf (or John Barrowman taking a hike)
...
Description of the Red Riding Hat, blah blah, her virginity (guess if she is going to go for Jack or the werewolf)
...
A dashing young man with a compass introduced (Jack and his wrist computer? Or is it Lupin? Is in fact the werewolf who shagged with Jack Remus Lupin?)


Hm, I am not Jack Harkness obsessed, not at all.

Today, I realised I am really confused and losing touch with reality...

First, I was doing my make-up...but I was not thinking about if the silver shadows go well with my outfit or trying not to poke out my eye with the mascara. No, my track of thoughts was:

Jack stepped out of the TARDIS and looked around the Millennium Square. It felt good to be back, even when it was only to say goodbye. Then he noticed Owen, standing on the perception filtered stone, his gun trained at Jack.
'Owen!' he called out. 'You asshole!'
Owen's expression remained cold, but he put the gun back behind his belt as he stepped down from the stone. 'Jack. Hi. What the hell were you doing inside that thing.'
'What the hell were you doing? And mind you, if I were you, I'd not put the gun there...'


See?

Then minutes later I was making coffee. I spent last 12days voting for David Tennant on this. That is why I ran from the kitchen to the tv in living room as I heard trailer for this week's episode of House...oh yes...
